Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Manager oversees the daily operations of the UNIX/NT systems engineering function. May also be responsible for OS/390 function and staff. Being a Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Manager implements and maintains policies and practices for UNIX/NT computing. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
