Support Systems Associates Inc. is a privately owned, nationwide company that specializes in engineering, logistics, production, and management services to both Government and industry. Our corporate offices are located in Melbourne, FL and a facility in Warner Robins, GA

Our Melbourne facility includes office and manufacturing space to support production and maintenance of mission systems and aircraft modification kits in addition to a variety of logistics inventory needs. This operation is currently executing multiple programs with electrical fabrication, back-shop avionics equipment repairs, testing and final assembly.

Our Warner Robins facility is located in The Park off Russell Parkway and includes office and some light manufacturing space to support production and maintenance of systems similar to those in our Huntsville facility. This operation is currently executing multiple programs which provide engineering and logistics services for the modification of aircraft. SSAI is certified to AS9100. SSAI’s core capabilities include mechanical, electrical, and electronic design, test, avionics engineering, software engineering, aircraft modification design/installation, modification kit production, and related logistics services.

Applicant selected is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be able to route and tie wires to form wire harness used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems: Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly. Selects wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loops wires between guide pegs on harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on board or diagram. Wraps and ties wires together at designated points to form harness, manually or using tie-wrap gun. May apply sealing liquid to secure knots in ties, using brush. May attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using soldering iron or crimping device. May insert cable in plastic tubing or inject plastic sealant around terminals to protect cable from dust and moisture. May test wiring continuity, using continuity tester. May mark identifying data on completed harness.

The individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

High School or GED. Vocational, or Community College degree preferred;

Three (3) years of experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician;

J-STD-001 certification preferred;

Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 6010.

Prolonged periods of standing and walking, able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery;

Must be able to visually inspect machines;

Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed.

Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
