SUMMARY
Responsible for attending classes per training schedule to learn the rules of the game, how to deal a variety of games, with a goal to transition to the Dealer position working in a live gaming environment. The Dealer Trainee will understand and be able to provide a memorable table games experience for guests while protecting assets and following the Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, internal controls and standard operating procedures upon completion of training.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must successfully complete Dealer School including satisfactory attendance based on the training schedule. Prior to entry in the training class must pass a basic math assessment for speed and accuracy performing basic math calculations. Must satisfactorily pass an audition administered by Terre Haute Casino Resort Table Games Supervisor or Manager to verify that the applicant is knowledgeable in technical skills, game pace, awareness of game protection responsibilities, and is able to follow instruction and can do so while interacting with guests to generate fun and excitement.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, training manuals, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical theory.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
