The position: Assists with the development and execution of the Company’s strategy related to the acquisition and on-boarding of talent; helps establish processes, policies, and procedures for proactively meeting the talent needs of the Company, and implements programs, activities, and initiatives that enable and support the Company’s goal of hiring and retaining “the best.”
Responsibilities
- Assists in identifying and defining the annual talent acquisition initiatives and budget.
- Leads the Talent Acquisition Managers in executing annual strategic goals for the department that align with the long-term strategy.
- Ensures the Talent Acquisition Managers are meeting performance standards with their respective business leaders and portfolios.
- Interviews, hires and trains Talent Acquisition Managers and manages their performance in accordance with the Company’s policies, values, and business practices.
- Conducts strategic sourcing activity to help fulfill the staffing needs of the business for long-term growth.
- Interacts with business leaders to resolve problems or concerns and to report on activities/results.
- Assists the team with high level, specialized searches.
- Tracks and reports on key performance indicators for measuring results by creating open positions reports and by analyzing cost-per-hire, time to fill, sourcing/recruiting activity, candidate quality, and candidate and manager satisfaction with recruiting and hiring results.
- Interacts with and reports results to the executive team and other key stakeholders.
- Conducts regular check-ins with senior leadership to obtain feedback on talent acquisition support.
- Assists in the management of specialized recruiting efforts, such as the Company’s College Internship program, New Grad program, High School Program and Ambassador Program, with a focus on diversity recruitment.
- Implements changes to department policies, procedures, expectations and system workflows, as needed.
- Conducts weekly one-on-one meetings with Talent Acquisition Managers, and co-hosts monthly and Quarterly Business Review team meetings.
- Serves as a department representative at meetings to include the New Leader Orientation.
- Interfaces and acts as a key point of contact for hiring managers in planning current and future staffing models and needs, defining candidate qualifications, defining compensation within the Company’s salary guidelines, and resolving questions, issues, and concerns about staffing and recruiting performance.
- Reviews the team’s Applicant Tracking System recruiting reports with the Talent Acquisition Managers on a weekly basis to measure performance and accountability.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on all recruiting processes, systems and technology and facilitates one-on-one training for managers as needed, to include training on the Applicant Tracking System and Effective Interviewing.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment and hiring practices.
- Complete various human resources, financial, administrative and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8 years experience in talent acquisition and recruiting, preferable in real estate or related industries, for both non-exempt and exempt positions.
- Minimum of 3 years of management
- Excellent relationship management skills, with proven ability to establish credibility and partner with business leaders to identify talent gaps and needs and create and execute talent acquisition plans.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to execute fast-paced and high volume recruitment efforts.
- Strong customer-service orientation and influencing skills.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, and working knowledge of current recruitment and talent sourcing practices and strategies, including use of social media and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, ability to exercise sound judgement.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
