JOB SUMMARY
This job description is intended primarily as an illustration of the type of work to be performed by the Director, Talent Development. The Director reports directly to the Senior Director, Talent Development. Partnership employees are expected to provide their unique talents and abilities to solve specific problems or to address specific questions outside their job description related either to their team’s mission or in support of an organizational goal. They may be asked to participate in a variety of ad-hoc assignments and are expected to be flexible in their work practices and supportive of other team members. The Director is expected to be a critical thinker and contribute relevant input into team tactics, technical systems and procedures and always conduct themselves in a professional manner. All employees of the Partnership are expected to familiarize themselves with the Partnership Personnel Manual and to conduct themselves in accordance with its policies and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director will be looked to as an expert in talent and workforce development. The Director, Talent Development will be responsible for working with the Senior Director, employers, higher education partners and community organizations on building a targeted talent development and recruitment strategy for Orlando’s most in-demand occupations and skill sets. This role is made possible through the Orlando Region’s Build Back Better Grant; therefore, the Director will support UpSkill Osceola, a program of the Build Back Better Grant, project deliverables to support the skills-based hiring strategy in the semiconductor industry.
