The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, assessing, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the organization's staffing needs for all home care programs. Essential Functions:
- Exhibit a strong sense of understanding and actively embodies the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Kennedy Care through consistent behaviors, practices, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with team members and senior leadership to understand their staffing needs, establish job requirements, align recruitment efforts with each of the program’s goals and execution of full cycle recruitment.
- Provide a positive and exciting candidate experience from initial interviews to onboarding New Hires
- Proactively sourcing and identifying potential candidates through multiple job boards, social media sites, professional networks, and direct outreach
- Assist in creating and maintaining job descriptions and posts on multiple job boards and social media sites
- Developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, utilizing various channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Assist with online and in-person job fairs
- Ability to work in a fast pace setting, experience with non-exempt positions
- Assists in managing the companies Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Reviewing resumes, conducting initial phone screenings, and assessing candidates' qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles.
- Coordinating and conducting interviews, both phone and virtual interviews, to evaluate candidates' competencies, experiences, and cultural fit with each program while working closely with each Human Resources Representative.
- Ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely communication, feedback, and support to candidates.
- Build applicant pool by researching and contacting local resources
- Conduct thorough background checks on potential candidates to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Verify employment history, qualifications, and credentials through meticulous reference checks.
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the company culture and workflow.
- Effectively communicate and follow-up with candidates regarding documentation and onboarding tasks.
- Monitor and track onboarding progress in HRIS to ensure timely completion of all required tasks and documentation.
- Coordinate and participate as necessary in orientation and training programs to familiarize new hires with company policies, procedures, and job responsibilities.
- Address any concerns or questions from new hires during the onboarding process, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the selection, interview, and onboarding process, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Ensure that all selection, interview, and onboarding-related data and documents entered into HRIS is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide clear and efficient documentation
- Conduct reference checks for new hires across all KC programs.
- Responsible for retention efforts for employees.
- Use of electronic software
- Ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
- Complete assigned training and education as necessary
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Physical and Mental Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred, Associates Degree OR minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience is required
- Must be flexible and can easily pivot based on the needs of the business
- Position may require moderate travel (up to 25%) within the program's geographic region and/or to home office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- Must live in the State of Michigan or Ohio.
