Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     This position is primarily responsible for implementing Nicolet’s overall recruiting strategy which includes proactively assessing staffing needs, identifying, and recruiting talented individuals to fill open positions, conducting initial interviews of potential candidates, and completing all related on-boarding processes.

    As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:

    • Work with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and to ensure complete understanding of the requirements and expectations of the position to be filled.
    • Review and update job descriptions for posting, as may be necessary.
    • Source and recruit candidates effectively using a variety of outlets (e.g., social media, job boards, job fairs, on-campus interviews, internal and external referral networks).  
    • Conduct full-cycle recruitment process including, but not limited to:
      • Screen incoming resumes/applications for qualified candidates.
      • Conduct initial screens either via phone or video to assess applicant’s relevant knowledge, skills, experience and aptitude.
      • Make recommendations to hiring managers based on application and phone screening.
      • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and attend interviews if requested by the hiring manager.
      • Prepare and send candidate offer letters.
      • Conduct pre-employment surveys/tests, and reference/education verifications.
      • Act as resource/point of contact for candidate throughout hiring process.
    • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.
    • Seek out innovative ways of sourcing diverse talent.   
    • Promote a diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting, and work with Community Reinvestment Act coordinator regarding diversity outreach.
    • Maintain the applicant tracking system.
    • Follow all Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) outreach and diversity initiatives and, if requested participate in drafting Affirmative Action Plan annually.
    • Maintain Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance pertaining to recruiting/ hiring as required.
    • Work with other Human Resources team members to analyze, develop, implement, and evaluate engagement/retention programs.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends relative to recruiting.
    • Serve as backup for entering new hire and position change workflows and coordination of onboarding of new employee trainings.
    • Conduct exit interviews of all staff positions
      • Identify turnover trends and share with appropriate managers.
      • Prepare quarterly summaries to be shared with Senior Management.
    • Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of Nicolet.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively promote Nicolet as an employer of choice.
    • In-depth knowledge of banking positions. 
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
    • Self-motivated and resourceful.
    • High School diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field is preferred.
    • 1-3 years of interviewing, hiring, recruiting or related experience required.
    • 3 years of recruiting experience in banking industry is preferred.
