Talent Management Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Talent Management Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Talent Management Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Talent Management Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     What will you do in the job?

    • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies to meet the staffing needs of community employers
    • Assist clients in their job search. Procedural tasks to include talent/ interest assessment, resume/cover letter building, online job search, strengthen computer skills, facilitate email setup, submit applications, and interview preparation
    • Review talents, experiences and aspirations of job seeking clients and match with current employment opportunities
    • Complete data entry and documentation of job seeker information and activities.
    • Contribute to a team effort to maintain an active list of local job opportunities
    • Build/nurture strong, ongoing civic and business partnerships for the purpose of improving our ability to serve our community
    • Promote Goodwill programs focused on strengthening job skills, and becoming employed
    • Guide job seekers in a manner where each grows skill as a self-advocate with the goal of self-sufficiency

    Work Environment

    Work is conducted in Goodwill office space, community event locations and remote workstations with technology access. Schedules constructed to meet needs of business and afford one shift per week of remote work if desirable.


    Specific shift hours may either be in eight or ten hour increments with a 30 to 40 hour work week. Shift increment and work week to be determined in collaboration with employee at hire to predictably staff for service delivery. Days worked and shift intervals revisited at 90th day post hire and six month intervals thereafter. Revisit to be focused on meeting the needs of business and employee. If fewer than five shifts are worked each week there is opportunity to shift swap for life/work balance.


    Compensation and Benefits

    Starting rate: $23.00 followed by eligibility for annual performance based increases with maximum pay of $25.88. Highest pay as a result of ongoing good performance and years of service at Goodwill.

    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with cost sharing of premiums for employees and dependents.

    • Paid vacation and sick leave accrued based upon hours worked.
    • Twenty-four hours of floating holiday annually. Prorated based upon hire date in the first calendar year of employment.
    • Additional hours of paid time off based on full or part-time status on the anniversary date.
    • Eight paid holidays.
    • Access to On Demand Payment.
    • Bonus available based upon performance and prorated based upon hire date.
    • Access to a financial assistance program to improve job skills connected to the work of Goodwill.
    • If 18 years or older, eligibility to participate in a Retirement Savings Plan (401k or Roth IRA) at the entry dates (January 1st or July 1st). Enrollment eligibility following one year of service and have worked 1,000 hours in the first year or any calendar year thereafter, or 500-1000 hours each year for three consecutive years.
