Being a Tape Editor encodes final videos to desired size and format. Archives and stores all files, footage, graphics, and audio. Additionally, Tape Editor proficient using production and editing software including Adobe Creative suite and other specialized editing tools. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tape Editor work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. APG Media of Southern Wisconsin is seeking a full-time, in-person News and Digital Editor to help supervise regional reporting teams, help produce print and e-edition publications and to take the lead in executing our digital news strategy across 15 daily, semi-weekly and weekly publications.
The ideal candidate would have a year or more of demonstrated success managing newsrooms, demonstrated success in leading, motivating and growing reporters to generate high-quality news content, and previous experience in digital news strategy including for web, social media, e-editions and other formats. Rock-solid news and managerial judgment and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment are key.
This would be a management-level position working out of our Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, office and reporting directly to APG Southern Wisconsin’s regional editor in Janesville, Wisconsin.
