Senior Tax Accountant

Schedule:

Full Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday 

Position Summary: 

The Senior Tax Accountant position will have a focus on state tax return preparation and information gathering related to the federal tax return along with crossover into other General Accounting responsibilities.   This position will partner closely with other departments within the corporation as well as outside consultants.   The Accounting/Finance group at LECO is a very hands-on department which will allow the ideal candidate exposure into many areas of the company.  We are looking for an individual with the demonstrated ability to multi-task, is pro-active, and works well independently and as part of a team.

Position Responsibilities: 

• File state income tax estimates, state S-Corp & Shareholder Composite returns and other various state/local taxes
• Information gathering and reporting relating to Federal 1120S preparation
• Key person involved with both monthly and annual close process as it relates to both tax and general accounting matters
• Heavy involvement in year-end audit preparation
• Informational reporting to upper management
• Implementing and documenting departmental procedures
• P&L and Balance Sheet analysis
• Miscellaneous reporting on Foreign Operations
• File state sales and use tax returns
• Special projects as assigned

Position Requirements: 

• 3-5 years tax accounting experience
• Multi-jurisdiction State and Federal Tax experience
• Proven ability to operate in various software systems
• Strong technical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
