Description

The Tax Accountant holds extensive Accounting knowledge and General Ledger management skills, with a concentration in all tax related matters. In this role, you will develop and maintain substantial knowledge of MEDITECH’s business operations and industry to effectively support and carry out Accounting policies. As a member of our Accounting team, your job would involve:

• Maintaining extensive knowledge of Accounting principles
• Administering all corporate tax obligations by preparing returns, filings, annual reports, and payment schedules
• Overseeing schedules for book to tax differentials, deferred taxes, and tax reserves
• Preparing forecasts and monitoring of financial ratios
• Liaising with tax jurisdictions and assisting with audits
• Navigating corporate registrations with state and foreign tax authorities
• Tracking legislative/policy changes, emerging issues/laws, and advising management of their ramifications to the company
• Maintaining internal controls procedures, monitoring of Accounting and business controls
• Assisting with general Accounting matters and projects
• Updating and maintaining Accounting processes documentation
• Providing guidance to upper level management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3 years of applicable work experience preferred
• Advanced degree or CPA designation preferred
• High level knowledge of Accounting cycle and General Ledger management
• Accounting experience in software manufacturing industry preferred, including familiarity with revenue recognition, research and development principles
• Extensive knowledge of all corporate tax responsibilities, including states and foreign
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Sharp attention to detail
• Strong aptitude with spreadsheets
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills
• Proven ability to set goals and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with upper management
• Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information

This is a hybrid role which includes a blend of in-office and remote work as designated by the management team.
