Prepares journal entries for posting to the general ledger.

Analyzes financial information and prepares reports.

Determines proper handling of financial transactions.

Prepares admissions tax returns timely and accurately.

Prepares sales/use tax returns timely and accurately. 

Manages the day-to-day processing of vendor payments.

Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

Acts as back up to the City Treasurer which includes the collection of daily cash reports from various departments, detailed review of each report and entering of cash receipts.

Responsible for the City’s unclaimed property (escheatment) process which includes filing an annual report and remittance to the State Treasurer. 

Reconciles all escheat payable accounts to ensure accurate accounting entries/remittance.

Responsible for receiving petty cash vouchers from various departments, verifying all backup documentation attached and processing disbursements.

Performs other duties as assigned.
