Job Description:

Role: Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with third party CPA s to insure the timely completion and review of all corporate, partnership and individual returns
• Process all payments of annual LLC Fees and business license taxes
• Monitor changes in tax law to assist ownership with tax strategies
• Prepare all information required for federal or state audits
• Review workflow process for opportunities for improvement and be an agent of change regarding process improvement or implementation of additional software
• Oversee preparation of annual 1099s
• Identify opportunities for property tax assessments and handle the appeal process
• Review fixed asset additions for appropriate tax treatment
• Advise ownership of tax implications of real estate transactions as needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor s degree in accounting
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Certification
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially with excel
• 3 5 years of progressive tax experience including the preparation of corporate, partnership and individual returns
• Understanding of partnerships including partnership agreements, allocations and accounting
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills

• Experience in real estate is strongly preferred.
