- A client of ours is looking for an Income Tax Accountant for a contract role. As the Income Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with completing tax analyses for and preparing aspects of the Company's tax provision and income tax returns, estimates, and extensions. The Income Tax Accountant will also assist with organizing and addressing correspondence from tax authorities, performing tax research, and other tax projects. Income Tax Accountant Responsibilities:Prepare supporting analyses for and aspects of federal and state corporate income and franchise tax returns and income tax provisionAssist with ongoing documentation for internal controls in accordance with SOX 404Prepare quarterly estimated tax and extension payment calculationsStay up to date with changes in tax laws and communicate their impact to clients and internal stakeholders.Maintain organized and complete records of financial transactions and tax-related documents.Assist with special projects as neededOrganize and respond to inquiries from tax authoritiesPrepare periodic reconciliations of tax general ledger accountsLeverage and collaborate, where applicable, with external tax advisors and service providers
