Join the group providing finance and accounting support to OTO's growing hospitality development and hotel operations businesses.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Calculation and filing of Sales and Use Tax returns for multiple entities in multiple states.
• Tracking and payment of Property Taxes for multiple properties in multiple states
• Calculation and filing of Occupancy Tax returns for operating hotels under the company’s management.
• Calculation and filing of other taxes as needed, gross receipts tax, excise tax, business & occupation tax.
• Researching tax issues resulting from collection rate and exemption allowance discrepancies.
• Interpreting and complying with state and local statutes, regulations, and legislation.
• Providing guidance to Tax Accountant and Hotel Management based on research of tax laws and regulations.
• Manage and validate exemption certificates.
• Preparing for, and assisting with, sales and use tax audits.
• Maintain and update our tax service setup to ensure compliance with applicable state and local tax laws.
• Evaluate processes and procedures to increase efficiency and tax compliance.
• Assisting with the reconciliation of tax-related general ledger accounts.

Job Requirements

The selected candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other four-year degree with equivalent accounting experience.
• Required minimum of 2 years accounting and/or sales and use tax experience.
• Preferred 4 or more years’ experience in accounting with tax filing
• Strong computer technical skills, including MS Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with a multi-state, multi-unit environment.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines
