Position Overview:

As a Tax Professional at Wilson Toellner CPA, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing comprehensive tax services to our loyal client base. You will work closely with clients to navigate the complexities of tax regulations and provide strategic tax planning solutions to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.

- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.

- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and guidance.

- Assist in IRS and state tax authority audits and inquiries.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients and the team.

- Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive financial and tax solutions to clients.

- Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

- Assist with monthly an annual accounting and financial statement preparation. 

- Assist with annual accounting cleanup and data entry projects. 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or EA certification (or candidates) preferred.

- 3 years of experience in tax preparation and planning.

- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

- Experience with QuickBooks Online.
