We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Staff Level Finance/Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong financial background to contribute to the success and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
• Assist in year-end tax preparation with Controller and auditors.
• Assist in internal auditing and writing of processes and controls relating to SOC 1 compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field.
• Five years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as CPA.
• Experience in professional service organizations (i.e.- insurance, IT, service etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
• Familiarity with SOC 1 testing.
