We are seeking a Contract-to-Hire Tax Accountant (full or part time) to join our growing tax team to help drive this mission forward. As a Tax Accountant, you will work with clients to gather required documentation, prepare business and individual tax returns and workpapers, and clear review notes to drive projects to completion in a timely manner.

Areas of Responsibility

• Communicate with clients to request information, answer questions, and update on the status of their work
• Prepare tax deliverables efficiently, accurately, and timely
• Meet or exceed production and quality goals set by management

• Identify and help execute on opportunities to improve team and client communication, processes, and collaboration

• Timeliness and accuracy of tax deliverables
• Production and quality goals as set by management

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 3 years experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns and multistate returns. Trust experience a plus.
• Expertise in tax code, compliance and procedures with business clients
• High proficiency with tax, accounting, and office software
• Licensed CPA or EA preferred
