About the Opportunity:

Our firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our thriving Trust & Estate Planning practice group. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong background in tax law and advanced knowledge of estate planning and trusts to provide comprehensive legal counsel to our high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sophisticated estate plans for individuals and families, considering complex tax implications.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
• Advise clients on asset protection strategies to minimize estate taxes and maximize asset transfers.
• Assist with estate and trust administration, including probate and non-probate proceedings.
• Provide legal guidance on tax planning and compliance issues related to estate planning matters.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive client service.
• Stay current on changes and developments in tax law and estate planning regulations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Florida trust and estate laws and their application to client situations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships built on trust and communication.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a strong focus on tax implications.
• Proven experience in drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Demonstrated success in representing clients in estate and trust administration matters.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Admission to the Florida Bar mandatory.
