Tax Director directs and oversees an organization's tax policies and objectives. Monitors reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes. Being a Tax Director ensures accuracy of tax returns and works to minimize the organization's tax obligations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Tax Director typically reports to top management. The Tax Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Tax Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. As the Tax Director you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the company's tax functions. You will be responsible for overseeing the tax provision preparation, tax planning and credit opportunities, international tax matters and transfer pricing related to foreign subsidiaries, sales/telecom regulatory taxes, and contributing to the company's overall tax strategy.
