Summary: The core mission of an Accounting and Tax Manager is to review and deliver the accounting and tax work of assigned clients while maintaining or increasing profitability.

Key Result Area #1- Make our clients thrive

• Facilitate and manage monthly client reporting and production to consistently meet a minimum 40% of out the door by the 14th, 75% by the 21st, and 95% of financials delivered with insight each month no later than the 25th.
• 100% of client deliverables on time based on the internal deadline each month.
• Respond to 90% of all internal and external within 4 hours and 100% within 24 hours
• 85% of Proactive Client interactions completed quarterly

Key Result Area #2- To Own the full-service Accounting and Tax Process

• Prepare tax projections and present mid-year and year-end meetings in a professional manner
• Prepare, handle, and resolve all business, personal, and trust tax returns accurately and profitably and all outside tax returns within 2 weeks of receiving 100% of their information.
• Lead 1 tax training per year

Key Result Area #3- Make Clients Enthusiastic with Onboarding

• Implement new client products and services within the communicated timeline
• Update client with ongoing communication through the implementation cycle
• Provide all appropriate training to set clients up for success
• Process new clients for approximately two months before passing the accounts to the Staff Accountant.

Key Result Area #4- Supervise and Manage the Staff Accountants

• Monitor and coach the staff accountants on accuracy, processes, timeliness, and profitability and the overall practice as a whole.
• Monitor the Staff Accountant’s profitability report completed throughout the month
• Monitor production percentages throughout the month to ensure that they are equal to or greater than what is required and coordinate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide monthly training sessions
