Tax Manager is responsible for managing the tax accounting staff and the tax planning, reporting, and compliance functions. Oversees the preparation of all tax filings and reporting in compliance with all required regulations. Being a Tax Manager evaluates the tax implications of company activities and develops strategies to minimize the tax obligations. Advises management on future changes to tax regulations and possible impact to the organization. Additionally, Tax Manager may manage and direct relationships with vendors and advisors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Tax Director or Top Tax Executive. The Tax Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Tax Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Description & Requirements

As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team while providing ultra-responsive customer service to our clients. If you have experience with managing tax advisory services, tax compliance, and tax provision to a diversified client base, this is the position for you!

How you will contribute:

Managing tax advisory services, tax compliance, and tax provision to pass-through and C-corporation entities with an emphasis on manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, professional services, technology, and financial institutions
Helping to develop, build and manage client relationships
Representing FORVIS in the professional and business community
Participating in the proposal process for prospective clients
Contributing to FORVIS-sponsored technical guidance for internal and external publication and internal learning and development.
Assisting with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

Experience managing multiple client engagements
A strong sense of ownership for delivering ultra-responsive Client Service
Excellent supervisory, team building, and time management skills

Minimum Qualifications:

5 years or more of relevant progressive experience in public accounting tax including technical tax consulting and research
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
CPA license

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Taxation or Law degree
