Tax Manager is responsible for managing the tax accounting staff and the tax planning, reporting, and compliance functions. Oversees the preparation of all tax filings and reporting in compliance with all required regulations. Being a Tax Manager evaluates the tax implications of company activities and develops strategies to minimize the tax obligations. Advises management on future changes to tax regulations and possible impact to the organization. Additionally, Tax Manager may manage and direct relationships with vendors and advisors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Tax Director or Top Tax Executive. The Tax Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Tax Preparer
As we expand our operations, we are looking for an additional tax preparer to support our tax resolution firm. You will be able to set your own hours to complete the filings we send you in a timely and professional manner.
Duties:
- Prepare and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses (C-corp and S-Corp)
- Gather necessary financial information and documentation from clients if necessary
- Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to identify potential deductions and credits
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, answering any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in tax preparation required
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using 10-key typing for data entry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with corporate accounting is a plus
Use of Drake Professional Tax Software, preferred , active PTIN required
