```Job Summary```

We are seeking a skilled Tax Associate to join our team. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with tax preparation and compliance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a strong background in accounting and is looking to develop their career in taxation. CAF Number, PTIN, and/or accredation a plus.

```Duties```

- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts

- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance

- Assist with tax planning and strategy development

- Analyze financial data to identify tax savings opportunities

- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to gather necessary information for tax filings

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

- Assist with payroll tax calculations and filings

- Prepare documentation for audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities

- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations

-Ability to generate revenue

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

- Strong analytical skills to analyze financial data and identify tax savings opportunities

- Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) taxation

- Experience as a tax clerk or in a similar role

- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits

- Proficiency in using accounting software for tax preparation and compliance tasks

- Familiarity with low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC)

- Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
