This position is responsible for leading the tax function for Prime Residential, overseeing the efficient and effective functioning of day‐to‐day tax operations of our platform. This role will have the opportunity to work with other functional groups, including finance, human resources, legal, IT, as well as external advisors/auditors. The ideal candidate exhibits technical knowledge, the ability to manage and oversee Tax team projects, identify strategic tax opportunities, and oversee tax compliance for numerous entities.
What You'll do:
- Oversee the quality, completeness and timely delivery of tax estimates, annual statements, and tax filings.
- Oversee relationship with various external tax advisors and vendors.
- Support the tax aspects of the annual Audited Financial Statement workstream.
- Support investor relations and legal teams with tax-related internal and investor inquiries, investor due
- diligence, and other matters.
- Lead tax structuring of new funds in partnership with Fund legal and investor relations teams.
- Identify and lead the automation of certain processes and/or manual reports to increase efficiency and ensure accurate completion of tax related work.
- Monitor changes to tax laws and rules and identify strategic tax opportunities for the firm, its Funds, and their investments.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience required
- CPA Certification, JD or equivalent experience required
- 6 years of tax experience with private funds, partnerships and S corporations, preferably in real estate industry
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
- Expertise including financial statements, vendor management, and project management required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
