Additionally, Tax Research Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or top executive. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrates basic knowledge of client's businesses.
• Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations.
• Handle federal, state and local tax audits.
• Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities.
• Train and supervise staff, reviews and evaluates their work.
• Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA Certification
• 9 years of recent public accounting experience
• 2 years in a supervisory role
