Tax Research Manager jobs in Davenport, IA

Centennial Tax & Accounting, a division of Northwest Bank & Trust Company, is currently seeking a Tax Manager to add to our growing staff in the Quad Cities. In this position you will use your experience to work with a team focused on a wide range of tax areas including: income taxes, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, and not-for-profit and charitable organizations.

The ideal candidate will have:

• CPA or Enrolled Agent designation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s degree in taxation is a plus)
• 5 years of proven experience in tax preparation and planning
• Proficient knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of returns - specialization in farm or business a plus
• In-depth knowledge of financial planning, wealth transfer strategies, business succession planning and/or trust & estate work
• A growing client service skillset and the ability to develop strong client relationships
• Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, including: building and utilizing client networks, communicating value propositions, managing budgets, and preparing complex materials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software
