Our service client is looking for a Tax Manager in southeast Wisconsin.
The primary responsibilities of this position include the preparation of complex income tax returns (with a focus on Forms 1041, 1065 and 990-PF), managing the firm's tax return docket, and overseeing the staff and process of filing state and federal tax returns. The position will also be involved in implementing tax-planning strategies, review and payment of quarterly estimated taxes, and tax-related research.
In addition, the position may also involve participation in the firm's trust accounting practice, preparation of estate and gift tax returns, and a broad range of bookkeeping and billing activities.
Education: .
• A bachelor's or master's degree.
• A CPA designation.
• At least five years of professional income tax preparation experience.
• Experience preparing complex fiduciary and partnership income tax returns.
• Proficiency in ProSystem fx tax preparation software.
In addition, qualified candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:
• Willingness to learn and participate in a wide range of accounting and general firm activities.
• Ability to handle increased workloads during busy tax filing seasons.
• A "self-starter" attitude with capacity to work independently and stay on task without close supervision.
