Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Tax Supervisor Position Summary:
- Preparing and/or reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations, preferably with an emphasis on complex high net worth families and middle market operating businesses and real estate
- 5 to 8 years public accounting specializing in tax (Working towards CPA )
- Must have detail review experience, preferably 2 seasons
- Be able to train and supervise staff
- Be able to service and communicate with clients on a regular basis
Tax Supervisor Qualifications Summary:
- At least 5 years of public accounting experience
- Experience with ProSystem fx Tax, tax research software, and ProSystem fx. Engagement is preferred.
