Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of tax compliance and planning for our clients. This includes preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax advice and guidance, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting and a deep understanding of asset management, payroll, account reconciliation, sales, debits credits, QuickBooks, SOX, financial services, invest, and accounting software.
Duties:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
- Provide tax planning advice to clients to minimize their tax liability
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
- Assist clients with audits or other tax-related inquiries from government authorities
- Review financial statements to ensure accurate reporting of taxable income
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and reporting of financial transactions
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to provide ongoing tax support and guidance
- Train and mentor junior staff members on tax compliance procedures
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or related role
- Strong knowledge of asset management, payroll processes, account reconciliation, sales transactions, debits credits, QuickBooks software, SOX compliance requirements, financial services industry regulations, investment taxation rules, and various accounting software applications
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns and reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and tax preparation software
