Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This is a new business subsidiary of a successful and well-respected boutique estate planning law firm, offering an exciting ground floor opportunity with a possible partnership/ownership stake. We are expanding into tax planning, and we need an experienced CPA to begin offering various financial services to our clients. Experience level does not need to be signficant, but a strong educational background and experience working as part of a team in a professional office work environment is required.
