Tax Supervisor jobs in Lebanon, PA

Clair Global Corp is a technology innovator in the portable and installed entertainment technology fields and seeks a tax accounting professional to work closely with leadership and key stakeholders across all lines of business. This full-time, salaried, position is based at the company headquarters in Lititz, PA.

The successful applicant will report to the CFO and work with all three business units to determine the correct sales and use tax for a wide range of technology-based system integration sales, including construction projects, as well the sale of product, and Clair Global rental activities.

The Tax Accountant will apply best practices and experience to ensure all filings are correct and timely processed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in determining tax application and filing in multiple states and municipalities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in tax calculations, filings, and recordkeeping.
• Commitment to ethical tax accounting practices.
• Adaptable to changing tax laws and business requirements.
• Excellent at time management and prioritization.

Education / Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• CPA or relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience Requirements

• Extensive experience calculating and filing sales and use tax in multiple states, and strong knowledge of sales and use tax laws and regulations.
• Substantial experience in sales and use tax accounting, and previous experience in a tax accountant role preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex transactions, apply tax laws, identify and resolve complex tax issues and collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Experience with accounting software and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review sales transactions and quotes to determine taxability and appropriate tax rates.
• Provide recommendations for accurate tax treatment, including complex tax issues.
• Manage and validate customer tax exemption certificates.
• Reconcile tax payable accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of sales and use tax transactions, including documentation to support tax filings for audit.
• Prepare sales and use tax returns and ensure timely filing of returns.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in sales and use tax compliance, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with internal teams, tax authorities, and external vendors regarding tax matters, and provide training and guidance on tax compliance.
• Be vigilant and stay current on changes in tax laws affecting the business.
