Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. Duties:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and games
- Assist in the development and implementation of daily camp schedules
- Provide guidance and support to campers during activities
- Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and fellow staff members
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment
- Assist with meal times and snack distribution
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Background check required
*Prepare a complete 6- week summer camp program for children in two separate age categories
(3.5 to 5 and 6 to 7 years old).
*Present the program to the Recreation Manager at least three weeks prior to the start of camp.
*With the Camp Director develop a 6- week curriculum combining the best ideas from both
programs.
*Present your final summer camp agenda to the Recreation Manager for approval.
*Inventory all supplies and order/purchase items that will be needed (Assistant Camp Director will help).
Ordering/purchasing must be approved by the Recreation Manager.
*Prepare room, bulletin board, cubbies, etc.
*Meet and discuss camp activities with parents/guardian during the open house.
*Provide a variety of fun and educational activities for children such as: sports, crafts, cooking, music,
dance, theater, etc. (be inventive).
*Meet regularly with other camp staff to discuss and develop new and creative camp activities.
*Discuss daily activities with parents/guardian during morning drop off and again when children are picked
up. Prepare notices for parents and hand them out during drop off on Monday morning.
*Accompany children and participate in special activities such as swimming, tennis lessons, and assist
professional instructors when needed.
*Call parent/guardian, and the Recreation Manager in case of a mishap or accident.
*Dial 911 in the case of an emergency, then contact the Recreation Manager immediately.
In case of any incident, emergency or otherwise, fill out an accident/incident report form and bring it to the
Recreation Director at the end of the camp day.
*Report and discuss any problems: medical, behavior, etc. with parent/guardian at the end of the day when
child is picked up. Report all problems to the Recreation Manager.
*Take daily attendance in the morning. If a child does not arrive on time, notify the Recreation Office
immediately.
*During attendance, ask who is ordering lunch from the snack bar. Orders must be placed with the snack bar
no later than 11:00 a.m.
*Meet with the Recreation Manager on a weekly basis to discuss issues of importance and review the week.
*Reorganize the camp room at the end of each day and be sure to vacuum.
*Inventory supplies again at the end of the season, and make a list of items that need to be replenished for
the following year.
