Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function. Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Tax Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     What you will be doing
     

    As a Tax Manager specializing in Accounting for Income Tax, you will play a crucial role in navigating our company through complex tax accounting, planning, compliance, and strategic execution during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. 
     

    • Assist with the calculation of the tax provision, effective tax rate, taxable income, and deferred tax computations as well as review the tax basis balance sheets to calculate purchase accounting adjustments for a company with significant M&A activity.
    • Manage requests for information between the company, external auditors, and external advisors.
    • Effectively model the impact of M&A transactions as it relates to the tax provision, tax compliance, treasury goals, and legislative changes.
    • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and provide strategic recommendations accordingly.
       

    What we are looking for
     

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
    • Minimum 7 years Corporate Tax Experience, ideally with experience out of Big 4 or large regional tax firm or another large corporation, with a focus on Corporate Income Tax Accounting. 
    • Organized, detail-oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously while working with internal & external colleagues.
