Supervises the completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of an organization. Being a Tax Supervisor must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Tax Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Tax Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and client-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing accurate tax returns on behalf of our individual and business clients. You will work closely with clients to collect necessary information, utilize tax software, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses.
Verify tax forms for accuracy and completeness.
Research tax-related questions and issues to ensure compliance with regulations.
Advise clients on tax planning and strategies.
Maintain confidentiality and security of client information.
Stay updated on tax law changes.
Skills and Expertise:
Proven experience as a Tax Preparer.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency with tax preparation software.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional client service orientation.
Good with numbers and figures.
Time management and organizational skills.
CPA or Enrolled Agent is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
Minimum 2-3 years Previous experience in tax preparation (public accounting).
Valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).
