The Illinois Department of Revenue is seeking to hire a Revenue Tax Specialist for the Springfield Office in the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI).
BCI is a highly specialized law enforcement group that conducts criminal investigations into violations of the Illinois Tax Acts and associated financial crimes.
The Revenue Tax Specialist position serves a support function for BCI investigations and operations. Related duties include report and restitution tracking, drafting related correspondence, obtaining data and generating reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires successful completion of the Revenue Tax Specialist Trainee program, which entails 12 months of agency training, and either : knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college;
OR four years of work experience providing tax related support functions within a program area at the Illinois Department of Revenue.
