The hours for this in-office position are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm in the Tulsa, OK office.

Polston Tax Resolution & Accounting was founded in 2001 with the mission of helping people escape the nightmare of owing back taxes. Today, the firm not only services people who owe back taxes to the IRS or state, but also boasts a full-service tax and accounting firm.

What Will You Do?

The Tax Assistant is responsible for supporting the tax department by assisting with the day-to-day work of preparing tax returns.

• Communicate with clients regarding the status of their tax returns and coordinate conferences/meetings with the Tax Accountants.
• Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments/mail/packages.
• Ensure documents are being processed in a manner that follows the systems in place.
• Communicate with internal departments and coordinate tax returns for deadlines.
• Maintain organization of file/storage/copy room in an orderly and neat manner (keep work areas clear, and necessary forms/paperwork available to tax accountants).
• Manage electronic document filing on network drive.
• File job folders and other documents as required.
• Assist tax department staff and managers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What Do You Need?

Tax Assistants have a positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic.

• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Capacity to work on assigned tasks independently or with little supervision.
• The ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
• Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Coachable mindset and student mentality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including Adobe.
• Equipment, such as computer, tablet and/or phone, to work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc.
• Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance.
• Satisfactory background and reference checks.
