May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Aide works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Position Summary
The Mental Health Support Aide (Teacher Counselor Aide) assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring individual and group treatment plans and procedures to improve social/interpersonal functioning and high rates of successful program completion for assigned youth.
