A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ANSWERING SERVICE AGENT

As a virtual receptionist, you are the backbone of our company. Your main responsibilities include receiving inbound calls and placing outbound calls. You listen attentively and collect customer data to provide them with basic information about the services and support they seek. Taking accurate notes and detailed messages is a main part of the job, and you have no problem balancing this while speaking clearly on the phone. You help schedule appointments for customers and process orders and payments while ensuring all calls are documented and reported to the appropriate business. Maintaining order is a skill that comes naturally to you, and you find great satisfaction in helping others through quality customer service!

QUALIFICATIONS OF AN ANSWERING SERVICE AGENT

• A resident of AL, FL, GA, KS, SC, TX, or VA
• Ability to type 40 words per minute with minimal errors
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to type and talk simultaneously
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong computer skills
• Being bilingual is not required, but a plus

TELEPHONY REQUIREMENTS
-Landline phone or cellular phone with an excellent cellular connection
-A wired headset is preferred; however, you may use a wireless headset if it offers 8 hours of continuous usage, and it provides a clear connection, and does not drop connection

COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS
-Processor: Pentium i5 Quad-core (Equivalent or better)
-Memory (RAM): 8GB minimum
-Hard Drive: 100 GB minimum
-Has two video outputs for dual monitors (Y-jacks and splitters will not work).
-Less than 3 years old

Operating System:
-Microsoft Windows 10 and above

Monitors:
-Primary Monitor size: 15” minimum with a resolution of 1920×1080 at 100% scaling.
-Second Monitor with a resolution of 1920×1080 at 100% scaling.

Installed Software:
-Anti-virus (Windows): Windows Defender only.
-Malwarebytes is the only permitted anti-malware software.

Computer Peripheral Requirements:
-Webcam.
-Plug and Play Mouse that does not use additional software.
-Plug and Play Soft-Touch Keyboard (for Laptops, too) that does not utilize additional software.
-Approved USB Headset.

Internet Requirements:
-You must provide a stable Cable or Fiber Ethernet internet connection with minimum speeds of 50MBps download and 10MBps upload.
-Must submit a copy of your current internet bill with your address
*We do not allow any form of wireless Internet Service or connection, which also means you can not use Wi-Fi and will need to connect your computer via ethernet.
