Teacher Aide partners with one or more teachers to prepare lessons and instruct students. Engages with students individually or in small groups to answer questions and facilitate activities. Being a Teacher Aide helps teachers resolve classroom issues and conflicts. Monitors and evaluates students' performance. Additionally, Teacher Aide typically requires an associate degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. What we look for in our Direct Support Professionals:
· Assist individuals with disabilities with their daily living and independence skills / personal care (may include assistance with grooming, bathing, feeding)
· Utilize curated plans to assess an individual's needs
· Accompany individuals to and from appointments and activities
· Foster a meaningful and empathetic relationship between the individuals and their community
The IDEAL candidate will:
· Be 18 years of age or older (required)
· Have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED
· Have a valid driver's license
· Experience with the developmentally disabled or as a caretaker is preferred but not required
· Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Be energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor
· Have a high level of comfort with hands on domestic care (cleaning, washing, assisting with hygiene care)
How we pay:
Daily pick up and drop off at up to $60/hour
