Teacher Elementary School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned elementary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in K-5 classroom setting. Being a Teacher Elementary School monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Elementary School evaluates and monitors student's performance and progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Elementary School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Qualifications
• Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• A valid NE Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s)
• A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn.
• Excellent attendance record
• Excellent communication skills oral and written
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices
• Positive interpersonal skills
