Teacher Elementary School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned elementary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in K-5 classroom setting. Being a Teacher Elementary School monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Elementary School evaluates and monitors student's performance and progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Elementary School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. - Serve as a mentor to students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for students.
- Assess student progress through various methods, such as tests, projects, and observations.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and instructional methods.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with students with autism or other special needs is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders.
