Teacher Elementary School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned elementary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in K-5 classroom setting. Being a Teacher Elementary School monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Elementary School evaluates and monitors student's performance and progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Elementary School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Minimum Qualifications:
SC certification in Elementary required with a strong GPA in relevant coursework
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques for elementary students
Experience working with elementary students preferred
Knowledge of instructional technology and the ability to integrate it into the elementary curriculum
Willingness to work with other teachers to promote interdisciplinary studies
Skill in developing interpersonal relationships with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general public
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 190 days
Starting Date: 2023 - 2024 School Year
