Teacher Elementary School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned elementary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in K-5 classroom setting. Being a Teacher Elementary School monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Elementary School evaluates and monitors student's performance and progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Elementary School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Additional Information
Minimum *annual starting salary: $54,602 Bachelors, $57,223 Masters, $59,970 Doctorate. The annual salary stated in this posting is based on the 2023-2024 adopted fiscal plan. The annual salary for the 2024-2025 SY will be determined when the HCPS school board approves and adopts the fiscal plan budget later this Spring.
