Teacher High School prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an assigned secondary school. Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic needs of children in a grade 6-12 classroom setting. Being a Teacher High School evaluates and monitors student's performance. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher High School participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher High School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     The School District of Milton is seeking an energetic individual for a Mathematics Teacher (9-12) (1.0 FTE) at Milton

    A competitive starting salary of $47,394 (2023-24 starting salary) is offered for a 190-day contract for individuals that
    have a Bachelor’s degree. Additional compensation is available for candidates with prior years of teaching experience in
    public education and additional education beyond a bachelor’s degree. A competitive benefits package is also included.

    Qualifications:
    The School District of Milton is seeking an individual who will engage students in the learning process. Candidates
    should have an outstanding ability to engage high school students and inspire them to explore the field of Mathematics.
    Candidates should be organized, flexible, and have strong communication skills. Co-curricular coaching and advisor
    positions may be available. The candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues as a positive and substantial
    contributor to the school and district; and assume a leadership role in the implementation of district initiatives.
    Candidates should be proficient in co-teaching and co-planning with special education teachers.

    It is required that applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in Math – 1400 and have the appropriate
    position code for 9th – 12th grade students.
