Being a Teacher High School evaluates and monitors student's performance. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher High School participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher High School occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Job summary  

     The Middle/High School Spanish Teacher plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students. This position is responsible for delivering effective and dynamic Spanish language instruction, promoting Christian values, and supporting the overall educational mission of the school. Assessment, feedback, and effective communication with parents are essential components, as well as ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends. The position requires a strong commitment to Christian values, excellent communication skills, and a passion for shaping the character and academic success of students.     The Spanish Teacher will report to the middle/high school principal, providing regular updates on curriculum development, student progress, and departmental needs. He or she will engage in open communication with school administrators, seeking guidance and sharing insights to enhance the overall educational experience. As a member of the faculty, the Spanish Teacher is expected to contribute actively to chapel services and other spiritual development activities. All faculty members are expected to embrace opportunities to integrate Christian values and principles into all aspects of education, fostering a holistic approach to students' growth.

    Required Professional Qualities  

    • A minimum of an earned bachelor degree in spanish or a related field and prior teaching experience at the middle/high school level 
    • Fluency in Spanish and a deep appreciation for the cultural nuances of Spanish-speaking countries  
    • Certified or able to receive teaching certification for spanish through ACSI
    • Commitment to Christian values and the integration of faith into the curriculum.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
    • Implement consistent and fair discipline policies in accordance with the Christian school's code of conduct.
    • Stay current with educational trends and language teaching methodologies.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
    • Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about their child's academic progress and any concerns.
    • Actively engage with the Christian school community, attending events and contributing to the overall school culture.
