Teacher Kindergarten prepares lessons and instructs students in an assigned elementary school's kindergarten. Develops and implements activities to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in kindergarten classroom setting. Being a Teacher Kindergarten monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Kindergarten assesses and documents students' progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. Duties:
· Attend all employee trainings.
· Participate in the enrollment and retention of 750 students in grades K-8 including recruiting new students when vacant slots come up.
· Teach the assigned grade level for 200 school days.
· Participate in parent-teacher discussions and planning to enrich each student’s learning experience.
· Participate in School activities designed to promote continuous improvement of the educational program and to promote the School.
· Serve in a teaching faculty role and/or fulfill managerial responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent, Principal and/or their designee.
Education Requirements:
· Appropriate Arkansas licensure and certification is preferred, not required.
· 1-3 Years Classroom Teaching Experience
· Bachelors Degree is required.
· Education Degree is preferred, not required
Technical Skills:
· Very comfortable in an electronic computing environment.
· Capable of using student information and data to drive instructional delivery and continuous program improvement.
· Some familiarity with instructional technology equipment, software, hardware and networked systems preferable.
Compensation:
$50,000 salary with full health, dental, vision and retirement plan.
