Teacher Kindergarten jobs in Scranton, PA

Wyoming Seminary seeks a full-time Kindergarten Teacher to start in August 2024. This position involves team teaching kindergarten students in a full-day program. A commitment to early childhood education is essential. Ideal candidates must also possess a willingness to work closely with their co-teacher and classroom assistant, participate in co-curricular activities, and perform other duties as expected.

Our faculty is deeply committed to the entire student experience; it is expected that faculty responsibilities will include a combination of student support, involvement in campus life, committee work, and extracurricular activities. Applicants must be dynamic individuals who are passionate about enriching the lives of children, collaborative and innovative in their approach to teaching, and who embrace and support the diversity of our student body through their curriculum and pedagogy.

Qualifications for candidates:

• Bachelor's degree is required with a preference for a Master's degree
• An appreciation for, and commitment to, early childhood education. Teaching experience preferred.
• A commitment to equitable classroom culture
• An ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Kindergarten team as well as the entire school community
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
• A lively sense of humor, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and a willingness to become a fully invested member of our community are essential
