Teacher Vocational Education is responsible for teaching vocational courses focusing on developing job-specific or industry-specific knowledge and skills. Develops and implements appropriate course work, activities, and assessments. Being a Teacher Vocational Education evaluates and monitors student's performance, and helps students identify and pursue personal goals. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher Vocational Education typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a state-specific vocational teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Vocational Education occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     An ESS substitute teacher assists with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. This person follows and teaches lesson plans, aids students in understanding subject matter, and ensures that regular classroom routines are followed.


    Responsibilities

    • Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
    • Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
    • Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
    • Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
    • Perform other duties as directed by school administration


    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • AR/FBI Criminal History Clearance
    • Department of Human Services Child Maltreatment Central Registry Clearance
