As a Special School District (SSD) vocational skills program teacher, you provide individualized instruction and support tailored to the diverse learning abilities of your students, ensuring they reach their full potential. Your expertise in the special education process, collaborative approach to differentiated instruction, and unwavering commitment to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and accessible learning environment will contribute to the success of every student under your guidance.

Vocational skills program teachers prepare young adult students for employment by providing instruction in job skills, daily living, interpersonal/social skills, and on-the-job training and coaching in various work areas.

SSD provides teachers with generous salaries and benefit packages that acknowledge their expertise and educational attainment. Vocational skills teachers work in a non-traditional community site partnered with SSD.

Salary

• $46,247 to $73,697/year based on experience and education

 Calendar

• 10-month school year (August to June), exact dates dependent on assigned location
